Herbie Hancock eleito Músico do Ano pela Jazz Journalists Association



Herbie Hancock, que actua no Allgarve Jazz no próximo dia 5 de Julho, está definitavamente num dos seus melhores anos, tendo sido agora o grande vencedor dos prémios atribuídos em 2008 pela Jazz Journalists Association (JJA). Esta distinção é uma de muitas que Hancock vem coleccionando desde a grande vitória que alcançou nos Grammy, ele que em Maio passado foi considerado pela revista TIME uma das 100 personalidades mais influentes a nível mundial. Significativo é igualmente o facto do guitarrista Lionel Loueke - que acompanha Herbie Hancock em concerto - ter sido eleito como músico revelação de 2008 nos prémios criados há 12 anos por esta associação.
