Apollo Theater celebra 70 anos com DVD



A herança musical do Apollo Theater foi comemorada em Março passado e será editada em DVD já em Setembro. Nesta gala participaram músicos, bailarinos e actores como Branford Marsalis, Harry Connick Jr. e Herbie Hancock, Natalie Cole, Bob Dylan, Vivica A. Fox e Denzel Washington.

Localizado em HArlem, o Apollo Theater é considerado, desde 1983, um marco de NYC e dos EUA, tendo sido o palco em que emergiram talentos como Sarah Vaughan e Ella Fitzgerald e em que actuaram as grandes lendas do bebop. Fora do jazz, o Apollo viu debutar James Brown e Michael Jackson.
