This is hard to accept (...).

The only thing I can think of is what are we going to do next. We cannot go home. My sousaphone stayed in the house. I do not know the status of my home. Even if I did, we cannot go home. This is terrible. I am staying with my Aunt in Memphis. All our gigs are gone.

People have asked me if I need anything and I say no, that everything is ok, but it is not. At this point reality has set in and I realize things are not ok. My vehicle, that I just installed a new engine is completely gone. All I am asking is for work once things settle down if you can make it happen. A big New Orleans show.

It's the music that is keeping me strong and I know it's the music that will keep us going and to sooth the people around us. I listen to songs and just start crying. This is hurtful. As New Orleans musicians we have to start looking in the future to have some hope for our families and children. New Orleans is the city with talent and music that is known worldwide and we cannot let this hold us back from spreading it again. I am asking you for help to allow us to do it again.
